Ban on Use of Satellite Phones in India

As per existing guidelines of the Government of India, carrying satellite phones by foreigners into India is banned. All foreign visitors to India are advised not to take these phones with them to India. Failure to do so will result in seizure of these phones by the authorities in India and unauthorized use of satellite telephone services may result in prosecution.
