This is regarding release of RFP for inviting bidders under Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for Advance Chemistry Cell (ACC), Battery Storage in India. Under the said RFP, bids have been invited by the Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI) for setting up manufacturing facilities for ACC Battery Storage in India, with a total manufacturing capacity of 50 Giga Watt Hour (GWh) and with an outlay of Rs.18,100 crore (around 2.5 billion US Dollars).

3. Under the PLI Scheme for ACC, an applicant can apply for a minimum of 5GWh upto a maximum of 20 GWh. Further, Battery Electric Vehicles using ACC batteries are also eligible for incentives up to 16% under PLI Scheme for Automobiles and Auto Components. Also under the Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric vehicle (FAME) Scheme, upfront incentives are provided to the purchasers of Battery Electric Vehicles.
