In pursuance of Prime Minister’s announcement, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) organized 1st edition of Bharat KoJaniye Quiz for young overseas Indians (two categories i.e. PIOs and NRIs) in 2015-16.

The second edition of 'Bharat KoJaniye' quiz will be held for three distinct categories of participants –Non-Resident Indians (NRI), Persons of Indian origin (PIO) and Foreign Nationals in 2018-19.

The quiz is being conducted to motivate overseas Indian youth to enhance their knowledge about India. Bharat KoJaniye Quiz is open for people between 15 to 35 years.

Topics of the Quiz include – Indian Art, Indian Democracy, Economy, Geography, Personalities in Music and Dance, Science & Technology, Languages & Literature, Education, Tradition of Indian Crafts, Indian Cinema, and Renowned Personalities.

The entire quiz will be organized in 4 rounds:

• The first round of quiz will be conducted online by the Missions abroad from 16th October 2018 to 20th November 2018. The cut-off date for registration for the first round is 20th November 2018 (local time).
• The second, third and fourth rounds will be executed by the MEA in New Delhi. The second round would also be conducted online.
• The third and fourth round (semi-final and final round) would be organized onsite in New Delhi.

Mission will select top three contenders in each category by conducting first round of quiz competition. The top three contenders/participants of the Mission level quiz competition from each category will participate in the second round of quiz (online) to be conducted by MEA in New Delhi.

All participants, who are invited for onsite round would attend the workshop in New Delhi and participate in the Bharat koJaniyeYatra, a 15 day tour of India.

Top 3 winners of the final round of BKJ Quiz 2019 will receive Gold (30 gram 22 ct), Silver (50 gm) and Bronze medals (50gm) and a Certificate at the PBD Convention, 2019.
