Greetings from The Plastics Export Promotion Council (PLEXCONCIL)! 

PLEXCONNECT 2026 – Reverse Buyer-Seller Meet (RBSM) is proposed to be organized on the sidelines of PLASTINDIA 2026, scheduled from February 5 - 10, 2026, at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, India. This initiative aims to build meaningful business engagements between global buyers and Indian exporters in the plastics sector, leveraging the scale and international presence of PLASTINDIA 2026. 

PLASTINDIA, organized by the PLASTINDIA Foundation, is Asia's largest and the world’s second-largest plastics exhibition. It is a globally renowned platform that showcases the depth, diversity, and technological advancement of the Indian plastics industry. The event attracts participation from leading global companies, industry professionals, innovators, and policymakers. It provides an ideal venue for buyers to witness firsthand the capabilities of India’s complete plastics supply chain from raw materials and machinery to finished products and recycling solutions. 

PLEXCONNECT has rapidly established itself as India’s only export-focused plastics exhibition, with its second edition in 2024 achieving business inquiries of over USD 57.5 million and on-spot deals worth USD 5.1 million. The event attracted 350+ international buyers from 50+ countries, while 316 Indian exhibitors showcased a wide range of innovative plastic products and technologies.

World Seafood Congress (WSC2026), 9–11 February 2026, Chennai Trade Centre, India.

The Department of Fisheries, Government of India, is the Co-organiser of WSC2026, with support from the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), Ministry of Earth Sciences, NITI Aayog, MSME, Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA), ICAR-CIBA, ICAR-CMFRI, NCSCM, Seafood Exporters Association of India (SEAI), Indian Marine Ingredient Association (IMIA), and the Foundation for Aquaculture Innovations and Technology Transfer (FAITT), among others. The India SME Forum (ISF) is India’s leading organisation representing micro, small, and medium enterprises.

In October 2025, India SME Forum signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Joint Declaration with the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO), Vienna, to foster innovation, digital transformation, and enhanced competitiveness of MSMEs for sustainable industrial growth. As part of this collaboration, India SME Forum is shortly launching the AIM (AI for Industry & Manufacturing) India Chapter of UNIDO, aimed at advancing the outcomes envisaged under this joint declaration.

In this context, UNIDO and India SME Forum are jointly organising a two-day National AI Summit titled “World Futures Forum”, themed “The Future of Industry, Enterprise and Livelihood in the Global South.”

Participation will offer a meaningful opportunity for guest speakers to present France's policy perspectives, institutional experience, and technological capabilities in AI-led industrial transformation, while engaging directly with India’s MSME ecosystem and exploring avenues for collaboration, trade linkages, and future partnerships across the Global South.

Call for Papers & Knowledge Contributions

In parallel, the India SME Forum is calling for Papers for the World Futures Forum 2026 from institutions, researchers, policy experts, industry practitioners, and ecosystem stakeholders from France.

The Call for Papers and Participation is open to individuals and organisations who meet one or more of the following eligibility criteria:

• Authors or co-authors of previously published research papers, white papers, policy briefs, or applied studies aligned with the Summit’s thematic areas

• First-time authors presenting original research, case studies, pilots, or applied frameworks offering practical and policy-relevant insights for MSMEs and enterprises

• Researchers and academicians with work published in peer-reviewed journals, reputed conferences, industry platforms, or recognised think tanks

• Industry practitioners, entrepreneurs, and technology leaders with hands-on experience in implementing solutions across technology, manufacturing, sustainability, innovation, skills, or trade

• Policy professionals and ecosystem stakeholders engaged in designing or implementing programmes and frameworks impacting MSMEs, inclusive growth, and enterprise development

Seafood Expo Bharat (SEB) 2026, 01 to 03 July 2026, Chennai Trade Centre, India.

The Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA), under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, is the nodal agency for promoting seafood exports. India is one of the leading seafood exporters globally and currently exports to nearly 130 countries. The country exported seafood worth USD 7.45 billion during the last financial year.

MPEDA is organising international trade fairs in India to highlight the country's aquaculture and seafood processing capabilities as part of its Market Promotion initiatives. Following the success of the first edition of the Seafood Expo Bharat (SEB 2025), MPEDA is organising the second edition of Seafood Expo Bharat (SEB 2026) at the Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai, from 01 to 03 July 2026.

The Expo will feature exhibition stalls, a Reverse Buyer Seller Meet (RBSM), tasting sessions, technical presentations, and exposure visits to seafood processing plants and aquaculture farms, The event will act as a comprehensive platform for stakeholders across the value chain, including hatchery operators, feed mill operators, aqua farmers, aquaculture machinery manufacturers, fishers, processors, equipment manufacturers, trading agents, technical experts, and exporters. The exhibition will host 325 stalls, with participation expected from over 5,000 business delegates from India and abroad.

MPEDA has a successful track record in organising RBSMs, as demonstrated during World Food India (WF1) 2023, 2024 and 2025, as well as Seafood Expo Bharat (SEB) 2025. The first edition of SEB attracted 48 importers from 20 countries, benefiting 130 leading Indian seafood exporters. Around 807 one-to- one business meetings were conducted during the RBSM at SEB 2025.

Seafood importers from France including Martinique, Guadeloupe are invited to travel to India in July 2026 and participate in the scheduled RBSM. Exhibitors from France including Martinique, Guadeloupe, including seafood processors, aquaculture and processing machinery manufacturers, aquaculture/processing input suppliers, leading importers, and investors, are also invited to set up a Pavilion at SEB 2026.

Reimbursement of return economy-class airfare for the shortest route, up to a maximum of USD 2,000.

Star Hotel Accommodation near the venue, local hospitality and logistic support during the event days.

Free Language translator/interpreter support during Business-to-Business (B2B) meetings.

Support for pre-planned exposure visits to seafood processing plants and aquaculture farms.

Participation by French companies will be crucial to the success of SEB 2026 and will further strengthen India's global seafood trade linkages.
