Introduction of e-SEWA for Miscellaneous Service
The Embassy of India, Paris is pleased to inform that the e-SEWA – Indian Consular Services System is being rolled out with effect from 23 January 2026. The e-SEWA platform enables Indian citizens and foreign nationals (whereever applicable) to directly submit applications online on the portal for miscellaneous consular services at Indian Missions/Posts abroad.
In line with the Government of India’s vision and flagship programme “Digital India”, e-SEWA is an initiative of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, aimed at providing a unified online platform only for various miscellaneous consular services (NOT for Visa, Passport and Birth Registration services).
Important Guidelines
- Applications must be submitted online only through the e-SEWA portal.
- Applicants are required to visit the Embassy of India, Paris in-person for collection of the final document/ certificate.
- Payments are to be made in cash at the Embassy at the time of submission and/or collection of the desired service, as applicable.
- The applicants need to visit the embassy for submission and verification of original documents only if required to do so.
- Online payment through the e-SEWA portal is not applicable at present for services rendered by the Embassy of India, Paris.

How to Apply through the e-SEWA Portal
- Visit the e-SEWA Indian Consular Services portal:
https://indianconsularservices.mea.gov.in/consularServices/
- Register as a new user or log in using existing credentials.
- Select the required miscellaneous consular service.
- Complete the online application form and upload the required supporting documents.
- Submit the application and take a printout of the completed form.
- Visit the Embassy of India, Paris on the scheduled appointment date for submission/collection of the document.
Applicants are advised to carefully read the service-specific guidelines and document requirements available on the portal before submitting their applications.
