Indian Society for Trenchless Technology (IndSTT) the autonomous apex organisation promotes the application of Trenchless Technology in India. It was established in 1995 and registered under SR Act of 1860 with registration number 32943 of 1998. Founders of this Society include various luminaries from the Construction Sector. IndSTT in association with Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi), Center for Underground Infrastructure Research and Education (CUIRE), University of Arlington Texas and Construction Industry Development of Council (CIDC – Established by Planning Commission of India), is organizing the 12th edition of its annual event No Dig India India Show 2022, an international conference & exhibition on application of Trenchless Technology on the 19th & 20th December 2021 at Aerocity Grounds, Aerocity, IGI Airport, New Delhi, India. Trenchless Technology is an important construction methodology for creating, maintaining, and managing underground infrastructure like water, drainage, power, gas, oil, telecom, pollution control networks without excavating continuous trenches. CONC Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi has made a call for promoting ‘Handmade in India’, especially for items such as toys and GI tagged products with a thrust on ‘Make in India’ initiative. The 1st India Toy Fair-2021,on virtual platform, was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in the year 2021 to boost the toy manufacturing industry in India to encourage Aatmarnirbhar Bharat and vocal for local campaign. The 1,074 exhibitors that showcased their products at the virtual exhibition and over 20 lakh visitors from over 110 countries and 30 Indian States and UTs visited for the virtual Toy Fair. A geographical indication (GI) is a sign used on products that have a specific geographical origin and possess qualities or a reputation that are due to that origin. GI tagged products are "Invaluable treasures of Incredible India" and aims to build confidence amongst the buying community. There are around 390+ products tagged as GI in the country out of which 200+ are handicrafts & handlooms and 120 are agricultural based. The Govt. of India and the Ministry of Commerce & Industry has given emphasis on promotion of exports of traditional geographical indications (GI) products from India.
