The Carpet Export Promotion Council is an apex body set up by Ministry of Textiles Govt. of India for export promotion of Handmade Carpets and other floor coverings, having around 2700 Member-Exporters from all over India. The basic objective of the Council is to promote the exports of Handmade Carpets and other floor coverings from the country.  To achieve the above objective, CEPC is organizing various Fairs and Exhibitions in India and abroad. The exports of Handmade Carpets and other floor coverings for the year 2018-19 is US $ 1.54 Billion.
 
“India Carpet Expo”, the flagship Expo of the Council, started in the year 2000, is a biannual fair and has become  a world fame international fair amongst  the buyers of Handmade carpets, rugs and other floor coverings. Most of the  Manufacturers & Exporters from main carpet producing areas like Bhadohi, Mirzapur, Varanasi,  Agra, Jaipur, Panipat and Srinagar etc. will be exhibiting their wide range and varieties of handmade carpets, rugs and other floor-coverings in the Expo.
 
The next “India Carpet Expo” has been scheduled for 11-14 October, 2019. 
 
In order to facilitate  the visit of overseas buyers in India Carpet Expo, Council has decided to provide facilities as per the buyer invitation letter in the form of package which includes reimbursement of air-fare, complimentary hotel accommodation for 2 nights.
