VFS Global is accepting applications for Visa (in all categories except tourist visas), OCI, Passport and Consular services BY POST and APPOINTMENT ONLY.
MISC. CONSULAR SERVICES
The Embassy of India, Paris will continue to provide the following Consular services directly at the Consular Wing of the Embassy: -

Attestation of Power of Attorney/Affidavit

Affidavit of Celibacy (Bachelorhood certificate)

Life Certificate
-
Sworn Affidavit
-
Transportation of mortal remains to India

Transportation of Ashes to India
Prior appointment may be sought before visiting the Embassy

The following services will continue to be accepted ONLY at VFS (by post and appointment):-

Birth Certificate.

Coutume certificate (Required by the Marie for marriage or for giving name to the new born child).

Concordance certificate (issued to justify discrepancy between name on passport and Indian birth certificate.

NRI certificate

Legalization/attestation of civil documents/commercial documents or any other documents. These documents needs to be apostilled from the courd’appel if they are French documents and from the Indian Ministry of External Affairs in India if they are Indian documents.

VISA CATEGORIES ALLOWED FOR ENTRY INTO INDIA
1 All existing visas granted to foreigners, except tourist visas and medical visa (including medical attendant), have been restored.
2 If the validity of such visa has expired, the foreign national may obtain fresh visa of appropriate category/sub category from the Embassy of India in Paris.
3 Foreign nationals intending to visit India for medical treatment in emergencies may apply for medical visa (including medical attendants).
4 Foreign nationals intending to visit India due to any family emergency may apply for Entry (X-Misc) visa. However, grant of visa will be subject to merit and nature of emergency.
5Electronic Visa [e-Visa] facility has been restored in all sub categories except e-Tourist Visa.
