Requesting Indian Nationals stranded in France to Re-Register for proposed evacuation from France under Government of India’s Vande Bharat Mission

  1. For Indian Nationals Stranded in France:

In continuation to this Mission’s message of May 22, 2020, this Embassy invites all Indian Nationals stranded in France who have compelling reasons to return to India and who wish to be considered for evacuation under Government of India’s ongoing Vande Bharat Mission to re-register at the following link:


Please note: All those who had registered with this Embassy in the past for the aforesaid purpose, also needs to re-register themselves.

This Embassy will endeavour to make all efforts to accommodate requests of Indian nationals wanting to return to India under the Vande Bharat Mission with priority accorded to the most compelling cases.

  1. For Holders of Overseas Citizen of India Cards Stranded in France:

Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Card Holders who have compelling reasons to travel to India under the Vande Bharat Mission can also consider registering themselves at the following link:


The compelling reasons for which OCI card holders can be considered for travel to India under Vande Bharat Mission are:-

(I) Minor children who are holding OCI Cards and who are born to Indian nationals living abroad;

(ii) OCI cardholders who wish to visit India on account of family emergencies like death in family;

(iii) Couples where one spouse is an OCI cardholder and the other is an Indian national and they have a permanent residence in India.

(iv) University students who are OCI cardholders (not legally minors) but whose parents are Indian citizens living in India.

Such OCI Cardholders can enter into India on the basis of their OCI Cards; they do not need to apply for temporary Visas.
